Bike HelmetMountain bikers rave about the trail system that surrounds the lodge. The views are "outrageous" up there. Bike through forests, across streams and through the meadows dense with wildflowers and rimmed with aspen groves. the famous Downeyville Downhill mountain bike trails are close by. There is a challenge for every level, from beginner to advanced.

Hike It.

Boot PrintThe adventure begins at your doorstep where miles and miles of well-marked trails lead you through meadows and around ponds, past alpine lakes and up to ridges and bluffs. Dozens of mountain peaks surround the lodge. Hike or just stroll along - there are trails for all levels of physical activity.

Hook It.

Fishing ReelBankers, trollers, and fly-guys will catch their limit on a variety of High Sierra lakes in the Lakes Basin.  Davis Lake, the Feather River, and the Yuba River offer world-class fly fishing for Rainbow, Brown and Brook trout.  Bankers and trollers can fish all day on more than five lakes within five miles from the Lodge.  We have a row boat at Smith Lake, a short one mile hike away, for your fishing and exploring pleasure!  Ask our “Fishing Expert” at the Lodge for his weekly fishing report with all the secrets!

Ace It.

Golf ClubsNo matter how you play, you can expect some great rounds. This is truly golf country. Just minutes from the lodge are the beautiful and challenging Plumas Pines, Gray Eagle Meadows, Whitehawk Ranch and "The Dragon" at Gold Mountain. Two nine-hole courses are also nearby. Let us know when you want to play.
