Bret was raised in Los Gatos, California.  He enjoys snow skiing, wake surfing, and remodeling projects. Bret took over the Lodge from his Dad, Sam, in 1990. He had found his calling in the Lakes Basin. Bret left the hustle and bustle of a professional job in San Francisco to become your host. Bret has always loved the outdoors and is grateful for the privilege of offering this special vacation spot to his guests.

Lynn was raised in Pleasanton, California.  She enjoys riding working cow horses, spending time with Brady, and collecting border collies. Lynn worked for Otis Elevator Company for thirteen years in San Ramon, CA before being transferred to the Reno office of Otis. Shortly after her relocation, she met Bret at a local wine bar. Married in November of 2002, they began their personal and professional relationship at Gray Eagle Lodge.

Brady is a Senior at University of Nevada, Reno graduating in the Spring of 2026 with a BA in Finance. Brady enjoys golf, wake surfing, snowmobiling, and working alongside his lodge family at Gray Eagle Lodge.

In the off-season, they enjoy their time together at home with their lodge rescue cat, Sweetie Cat, skiing at Squaw Valley, snowmobiling in the Lakes Basin, and designing and redesigning their three-acre home in Verdi, Nevada.
